Visit Greenland has just published the first official Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) – an internationally recognized economic framework.
The account, compiled according to international standards, confirms that tourism is an important part of the Greenlandic economy. The statement shows that in 2024, tourism contributed 1.245 billion DKK in value and 1,800 direct jobs. This means that in 2024, tourism constitutes 4.9% of Greenland’s GDP and over 6% of all jobs in the country.

Regnskabet, som er udarbejdet efter internationale standarder, bekræfter at turismen er en vigtig del af den grønlandske økonomi. Opgørelsen viser, at turismen i 2024 bidrog med 1,245 milliarder kroner i værdi og 1.800 direkte arbejdspladser. Det betyder, at turismen i 2024 udgør 4,9 % af Grønlands BNP og over 6 % af alle job i landet.

Grønland har investeret i ny infrastruktur med tre nye lufthavne de kommende år, i Nuuk, Ilulissat og Qaqortoq. Tilgængeligheden til Grønland bliver øget, og rejsemønstrene ændres. Derfor er det afgørende at vi kan håndtere et øget antal gæster, og sikre at vi udnytter landets kapacitet bedst muligt, så turismeudviklingen gavner hele landet.
